Mana Moana

Mana Moana: Whai Repo Lagoon Wellington
Mana Moana is a collaboration between Māori and Pasifika musicians, artists, writers and choreographers. It features a series of five short art films, fusing poetry, dance, song, painting, photography and animation. Instead of projecting on a traditional film screen, Mana Moana explores its themes of ocean, migration and diaspora on a screen of projected water.

As a design director I created two new digital artworks. The first artwork featured Māori forms and symbols relating to life, birth and death. The work ended with a clash of cultures, Māori and Pākehā.
